The Beatles at the hotel Edelweiss
Myth Obertauern, myth Beatles. Already the coolest guys of the most famous band in the world knew where skiing is the best: For their movie “Help!” the beatles stayed at the Spothotel Edelweiss. They were very happy that the hotel was located on 1.750 meters and the slopes were directly next to the hotel.
50 Years Beatles
1965 - 2015
Exactly 50 years, on the 14th of March 2015, after filming “Help!” family Lürzer uncoverd the “Beatles Monument” in front of the hotel. The family wanted a monument that reminds everyone to this special experience. Now the monument is a photo motif as an memorial for our guests!

History of the Hotel Edelweiss Obertauern
Purchase of the traditional Sporthotel Edelweiss with 70 rooms. The hotel with one of the best locations in Obertauern was renovated over the years. Now it is a modern hotel with all the new techniques it needs for a relaxed stay.
Renovations at the Hotel Edelweiss: Innovation of the infrastructure, renovation, expansion and widening of the breakfast buffet.
New building of the SPA + seminar area and renovation of the rooms.
Opening of our à la Carte restaurant “Steinbock” and our ski rental “Freudenhaus” directly at the hotel.
New building of our double rooms “EdelArt” and Suite “EdelArt”.
Big new building of our kitchen and store rooms.
20 years after taking over, the Sporthotel got the additional “S” for ****star superior.
